MSGR. FEDERICO BRITTO

PASTOR’S CORNER

February 15, 2026

May Jesus Christ, who teaches us to keep His law with all our hearts, be with you!
The east coast have been in a freeze for several weeks. This is probably the most challenging winter since the storm of 1996. Remain cautious, safe, and warm during these winter days.
The season of Lent begins the Wednesday with Ash Wednesday. Blessed ashes will be distributed during Mass on Wednesday. Laso, we will continue our parish  Lenten Journey every Wednesday at St. Cyprian and Thursdays at St. Barbara. Refer to our Parish Bulletin for the schedule. I encourage and invite you to use our Parish Lenten Journey as your Lenten spiritual devotion. And don’t forget to take advantage of the Sacrament of reconciliation.
I want to encourage you to be mindful of your church contribution. Without your contributions we cannot fulfill or maintain our church expenses. I am grateful for your stewardship of treasure.
We are coming close to the end of Black History recognition and remembrance. Although this celebration will end on the 28th of this month, its is very important to celebrating our history. There is a movement to eliminate black History. We must not allow that to happen. Black History is important to our country and world and is a part of our country and world.
The Gospel for today reminds us of the important of the Ten commandments and how it guides our life, live our life according to Gpd’s law, and helps us to stay on track to the kingdom of heaven. Use the Ten Commandments as a compass to the kingdom of God.

     Peace and Blessings,

     Msgr. Britto
